What is Alabaster?

As Christians, we are called to increase our number. In the Church of the Nazarene, that means we send missionaries to fulfill Matthew 28:19, in which Jesus instructed his disciples, "... go and make discples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit ..."

The Alabaster Fund allows the church to "put down roots" in communities being served. New churches are erected for the purpose of gathering, which coincidentally gives new believers a place of refuge and belonging. We give a special offering twice per year to assist in this effort.

The Alabaster Fund is used by newly established churches in the following ways:

• purchase a property or a church building
• purchase or build a church parsonage
• build a church building
• convert a property into a church
• rent a gathering space for a limited time

Give to Alabaster at Rockbridge Community Church of the Nazarene during the months of September and October 2023. Envelopes are available at the back of the church or you can direct your giving online when you add the note ALABASTER to your transaction.
